Kangana Ranawat is from a village called Bhambla in the Mandi district of Himachal Pradesh. She completed most of her schooling in Shimla. She studied science and wanted to be a star all time. In a passion for acting, Kangana travelled to Delhi, where she did several theatre shows.

Personal life
Ranawat's mother is a school teacher and her father is a businessman.Kangana moved to Mumbai to try her luck in movies. She is the most brilliant and sensitive actor to enter Indian film industry at such a young age. Her honesty in acting far surpassing even seasoned actors. At a very young age she received the offer for Mahesh Bhatt's 2006 film Gangster. During September 2005 Bollywood Film-maker Anurag Basu spotted her having coffee in a cafe in Bombay, and signed her up for this movie.

She acted in bolywood and since then has acted in many Desi Movie including Metro. Kangna Ranawat is very popular among women. She is good in dance.
